Dong-A Socio Holdings organizes the ‘2019 Phoenix Camp’ for children of company employees

On August 16, Dong-A Socio Holdings (President Han Jong-hyun) announced that the company had held the ‘2019 Phoenix Camp’ for the children of employees at the Dong-A Socio Group’s Human Resources Development Center located in Sangju, Gyeongsangbuk-do for 3 nights and 4 days from August 12 to 15.


The Phoenix Camp is an event consisting of diverse and informative educational programs for employees’ children during the summer vacation. The event was designed to create even stronger bonds between employees and their children by allowing the latter to experience their parents’ workplaces, and to spread a family-oriented organizational culture.


Under the theme of ‘creative writing and eight habits for success’, 60 children (Grade 4~6) of employees of Dong-A Socio Group, including Dong-A Socio Holdings, Dong-A ST and Dong-A Pharm, participated in the Phoenix Camp.


The children spent valuable time attending programs including a tour of the Cheonan factory of Dong-A Socio Group, Methods of Listening, and Widening the Safety Zone of Life. On the last day of the camp, the employees who had sent their children to the camp were invited to spend time together with their children.


The Phoenix Camp will be held again this year to provide more employees and their children with an opportunity to participate. The second Phoenix Camp will be held from August 21 to 24.


General Manager Cho Seong-min of the Information Strategy Team of Dong-A Socio Holdings, who attended the Phoenix Camp with his child, said, “It was great to be able to spend some time with my child at the camp, on top of the various programs my child enjoyed.”


An executive of Dong-A Socio Holdings said, “We prepared this Phoenix Camp in order to enhance the bonds with our children and to create pleasant memories. We aim to create a workplace where all of our employees can work happily together, in the belief that their happiness is the competitiveness of our company.”


Dong-A Socio Group engages in various activities aimed at creating a corporate culture where employees feel happy. Such activities include the ‘Hoeba Hoeba’ project to create an effective meeting culture, the ‘Do Don’t 1010’ campaign to promote ten desirable corporate cultural practices and eliminate ten undesirable ones, and the ‘Family Day’ in which employees are encouraged to come to work in casual clothing and leave early for a better work-life balance.
