On May 20, 2019, Dong-A Socio Group announced that it had held its employment family invitation event on the 17th at its Yongdu-dong headquarters in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul.
The event is designed to present happy memories to employees’ families and to strengthen unity and bonds between family members in the “Month of the Family”.
Some twenty families comprising sixty-one people of the Dong-A Socio Group, including Dong-A Socio Holdings, Dong-A ST, and Dong-A Pharm, attended the event.
Employees’ families and children received an honorary employee ID card printed with their name and photo for a visit to the department where their parents work to experience the work environment firsthand. They also participated in various family programs such as face painting, magic shows, and calligraphy, and had a great time together over dinner at the brunch cafe of Dong-A Socio Group.
Manager Lee Won-jae of Dong-A Socio Holdings’ IR Team said, “It was very meaningful for me to introduce my family to my workplace and enjoy a special time together there.”
An executive of Dong-A Socio Holdings said, “This event was designed to express our gratitude to employees and their families in this “Month of the Family” and to create some pleasant memories together. We will continue holding various programs for our employees and their families in a bid to strike a better work-life balance.
Dong-A Socio Group is engaged in various activities aimed at creating a company where employees are happy and contented. To improve their work-life balance, the company runs the ‘Family Day’ where employees can go to work in casual attire and leave work early, the ‘D-Together’ event in which employees’ children are invited to the workplace, and the ‘DO DON’T 1010’ campaign which aims to create a happy corporate culture.
