On April 26, 2019, Dong-A Socio Group announced that it had held its spring outing event ‘Dong-Go-Dong-Rak’ at Everland located in Cheoin-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do for neighbors with developmental disabilities of the Dongdaemun Welfare Center for the Disabled.
This spring outing event allows disabled persons who usually have difficulty going out to enjoy the warm energy of spring and make lots of pleasant memories.
Twenty-five people with developmental disabilities enjoyed the outing, taking part in various activities such as watching a parade and taking pictures with employees of Dong-A Socio Group.
Some forty mentors and mentees from the ‘Dong-A Mentoring’ program, which pairs up new and experienced employees of Dong-A Socio Holdings, Dong-A ST and Dong-A Pharm with disabled people, participated in the event.
One participant, Jeong Min-jae of Dong-A ST’s Gwangju Branch, said, “I had a great time with them during the outing, which was very meaningful and left me with many unforgettable memories. I will actively participate in any opportunity that allows me to help and communicate with them.”
An executive of Dong-A Socio Holdings said, “We will continue carrying out various social contribution activities to improve the quality of life for disabled and underprivileged people.”
