On June 17, 2019, Dong-A Socio Group announced the donation of proceeds from the ‘Sarang Nanum (Sharing Love) Charity Bazaar’ to the Dongdaemun Social Welfare Council located in Dapsimni-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul.
Executives, including President Han Jong-hyun of Dong-A Socio Holdings and Chairman Park Sang-jong of the Dongdaemun Social Welfare Council, attended the donation ceremony.
At the ceremony, Dong-A Socio Group donated the 99,450,000 KRW raised by the Sarang Nanum Charity Bazaar held last month to the Dongdaemun Social Welfare Council, which will use the funds for low-income and underprivileged support projects.
Dong-A Socio Group has hosted the annual Sarang Nanum (Sharing Love) Charity Bazaar since 2009 to contribute to spreading a donation culture and community development. At the Sarang Nanum (Sharing Love) Charity Bazaar’, the volunteer teams of Dong-A Socio Holdings, Dong-A ST and Dong-A Pharm sold company products to local residents at low prices and donated the proceeds.
An executive of Dong-A Socio Holdings said, “The generous support of local residents allowed us to make donations again this year. We would like to sincerely thank the local residents for their participation in the Bazaar. We hope that the proceeds will give strength and hope to our neighbors in need.”
Dong-A Socio Group has been carrying out a variety of social contribution activities to fulfill its corporate social responsibility and to create a brighter, healthier society. The activities include a blood donation campaign to practice sharing life and help with blood shortages, an amusement park outing for people with developmental disabilities, and support trucks for the mobile pharmacy to assist Gangwon residents of areas stricken by wildfires.
